The Problem: Hidden Dangers, Uncertain Distances

Cranes and power lines are a deadly combination. Regulations are complex, and relying on memory alone is a recipe for disaster. Even experienced operators can misjudge distances, especially under pressure. How do you ensure your entire team knows the *exact* Minimum Approach Distance (MAD) for every voltage level? One slip-up, one miscalculation, and the consequences can be devastating.

The Solution: Instant, Visual Safety

Our Crane Power Line Clearance Requirements Decal provides a clear, concise reference for operators, eliminating guesswork and minimizing risk. Featuring a detailed chart outlining Minimum Approach Distances (MAD) for various voltage ranges (e.g., 20' clearance for up to 350kV, 50' for over 350kV), this decal is an essential tool for any crane operation. It also reminds users of important Encroachment Prevention Measures, such as using range limiting devices to prevent boom swing into prohibited zones. Protect your crew. This DANGER electrical hazard overhead power line clearance requirements safety decal is printed with the text:

DANGER

Crane overhead power line clearance requirements.

20' of clearance is required for power line up to 350 kV or 50' of clearance for power lines that exceed 350 kV. If any part of the equipment, load line or load could get in the prohibited zone while operating up to the crane's maximum radius, then the employer can choose the following:
• Line verified de-energized & visibly grounded by utility owner.
• Clearance: maintain clearance from prohibited zone: with additional encroachment prevention measures as defined in 1926.1407,.1408 and .1409.
• Determine lines voltage and minimum approach distance permitted under Table A* with additional encroachment prevention measures as defined in 1926.1407,.1408 and .1409

Power Line Clearance Sticker size is 11 3/4 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches tall.

Our Power Line Clearance Stickers are created, printed, cut, and shipped in the USA.

On a mobile crane, this safety decal mounts inside the operator cab in a highly visible location within the operator's direct line of sight. It is designed to be installed directly near the control console or on the cab window or door. This strategic placement ensures the operator has a constant, unobstructed visual reminder of critical safety clearances during operation.

For boom trucks operating near power lines, OSHA 1926.1407 mandates a minimum clearance of 20 feet for voltages up to 350 kV and 50 feet for voltages exceeding 350 kV. If any part of the boom truck, load line, or load could enter this prohibited zone, the employer must implement additional encroachment prevention measures or verify the line is de-energized. This decal clearly displays these OSHA-mandated safety options inside the cab to ensure operator compliance.

This OSHA-compliant clearance decal is designed for mobile cranes, boom trucks, rough terrain cranes, crawler cranes, articulating cranes, and bucket trucks. It helps operators of these specific machines comply with the encroachment prevention regulations detailed in OSHA 1926.1408. Installing this decal in the operator's cab provides a vital, immediate reference for maintaining safe boundaries on active jobsites.

The Table A decal provides a high-visibility chart outlining the exact Minimum Approach Distances (MAD) for various voltage ranges, specifically highlighting 20-foot and 50-foot boundaries. It eliminates guesswork by detailing options like verifying lines are de-energized or using Table A voltage limits. Additionally, the sticker reminds operators to employ encroachment prevention measures, such as range limiting devices, to safely control boom swing near prohibited zones.
