This Not a Step sticker marks an equipment area that must not be used as a step. The red DANGER header, crossed-out stepping pictogram and printed fall-hazard warning communicate the restriction to operators and service personnel approaching that area.

As general guidance, place the label at the specific area the equipment manufacturer identifies as not for stepping, where a person approaching that area can read it before placing a foot there. A cover or panel near an access route may need this warning if it is designated as a non-step area; do not assume every cover or panel requires the same marking.
Follow the manufacturer's required label locations and replacement instructions. A factory location for a particular machine has not been verified here. Keep existing warnings, controls, inspection areas and designated access markings unobstructed.
A Not a Step label identifies a use restriction. It does not determine a surface's load-bearing strength, create a safe access route or provide fall protection. Not every restricted stepping area is necessarily fragile or non-structural.
Compare the complete wording, dimensions and artwork with the label required for your equipment. This is a warning decal, not a step, traction pad, guard or inspection approval, and it does not guarantee that slips or falls will be prevented.
