Driver-facing placement

For a hi-rail or road-rail vehicle, consider a fixed panel near the normal driving or on-rail operating position where the driver can read the reminder. Select a clean, smooth surface without covering instruments, controls, visibility areas, identification or other safety labels. Follow the equipment manufacturer’s specified location when one is provided.

A printed reminder, not a speed limiter

This is an adhesive notice label. It does not measure speed, restrict the throttle or mechanically limit vehicle speed. It is not a trackside railroad sign or a general road-speed-limit sign.

Use this fixed 10 MPH design only where its wording matches the authorized operating limit for the equipment and operation. The sticker does not establish a universally safe rail speed or override railroad instructions, equipment limits, track conditions or a lower applicable restriction.
