  • For stationary operation, securely park the truck, disengage the driveline, and properly stabilize the digger derrick.
  • Extend all outriggers on a solid, level surface to help avoid tip-over.
  • Operate controls slowly and smoothly, and return them to neutral after operation.
  • Never operate with personnel under the boom or load.
  • Keep the load under the boom tip; do not side-load the boom or drag loads, and avoid free-swinging loads.
  • Before moving the vehicle, stow and secure the booms, auger, and outriggers.
  • Top controls are required when working from the platform on structures with energized lines or components.
