How to order your custom weight
Choose your product option and enter the weight you want printed in the Notes section of your shopping cart. Supply the established load capacity in pounds, using the equipment manufacturer’s documentation or other authorized rating information. Contact us before ordering if you need different units or wording.
We print the capacity information you provide. This service does not calculate, establish, increase, or certify an equipment rating. A single maximum-load label does not replace a load chart, equipment nameplate, or other required information.
Mounting and visibility
Apply vinyl decals to a suitable clean, dry surface following the product and equipment instructions. Magnets require a suitable magnetic surface. For aluminum signs, confirm the mounting arrangement before ordering; do not assume holes or hardware are included.
Follow the equipment manufacturer’s marking-location instructions and choose a size and position that make the rating readable from the intended viewing area. Overall sign dimensions alone do not guarantee readability at a particular distance.
OSHA rated-load marking context
For overhead and gantry cranes covered by
OSHA 1910.179(b)(5), the rated load must be plainly marked on each side of the crane. If the crane has more than one hoisting unit, each hoist must have its rated load marked on it or its load block, with that marking clearly legible from the ground or floor.
This is a requirement for appropriate rated-load markings, not for purchasing this particular product. Requirements vary by equipment and workplace. Confirm the applicable OSHA provisions, ASME standard, and manufacturer instructions for your application. These products do not, by themselves, guarantee compliance or inspection approval.
